Welcome to The Bottle Shop. The Bottle Shop has grown out of a love of food and wine inspired by our travels around Europe and beyond. Good wine and food brings great joy and people together. We want to spread this joy.
We are very excited by our wine selection. We have personally tried every bottle and can guarantee they are all delicious!! Wine to suit every taste and pocket and we will continue to explore new wines to develop our range. If there is a wine you love that we don’t stock, let us know! We will endeavour to stock it for you. We aim for all our wines to come from small vineyards who are making wine responsibly and considering the environment. We can’t wait for you to try them.
As well as bringing you delicious affordable wine, we are passionate about finding wines that don’t cost the earth. That’s why we search for ways to minimise the carbon footprint of our wine, hence our wine refill station. You bring your own bottle to us and we fill it up from our wine on tap selection.
We offer wines to take home but also to drink in, standing at our beautiful bar or sitting at the communal table.
In conjunction with the wine on tap, we have a regularly changing selection of wines by the glass from our shop selection. These change regularly so that you get to know our whole selection and find new favourite wines. Or choose a bottle from our shelves to enjoy in our bar for a small corkage fee.
We source the majority of our light bites menu from local producers and growers. Our menu is constantly changing based on what is in season and delicious! Our food is inspired by our travels around the South West, Italy, The Basque and France.

Having been avid travellers for many years living in Russia, China and travelling extensively around Europe, we landed in Devon in 2016 and swiftly realised that we had finally found the place we wanted to settle having fallen in love with the countryside, the coastlines, the food, people and everything that it provides. Having explored different careers our love of food and wine always brings us back to wanting to share the best food and wine we can find. We are inspired by incredible produce locally available.
